Om for Life – CT Challenge Yoga Classes for Cancer Survivors

Om for life logoOm for Life™ introduces cancer survivors to the therapeutic benefits of yoga. The CT Challenge is providing a grant to the Yoga Shala for the program, which will run Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. through May 17th. Om for Life™ is a program of the CT Challenge, a non-profit devoted to helping cancer survivors rebuild, improve and prolong their lives through fitness, nutrition, community support and lifestyle programs tailored to their unique needs.
The class is taught by Yoga Shala Instructor Janell, a registered yoga teacher RYT 200 and by Val, a registered yoga teacher E-RYT 500. Both are also certified CT Challenge Om for Life instructors. You do not need to be a member of the Yoga Shala to participate in the Om for Life™ program.
FREE for survivors, their caregivers and families. No advanced registration required.

New Student Special

surya-namaskara-aNew Student Special – The Yoga Shala is offering new students 30 days of unlimited practice for $59. It’s a great way to try out all of our classes and meet the wonderful teachers at the studio. Anytime is the right time to begin the practice. You do not need to be flexible or know anything in particular to join us. We welcome beginners and experienced practitioners into our community. If you are completely new to yoga practice, we encourage you to call or email so we can guide you to the right class offering. You are also welcome to come in and observe a practice. If you have questions about specific classes, our special event schedule, or the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga, please feel free to contact us by phone, via email or at the studio.

The shala will be open today! I will not be in early, so look for the studio doors to open between 8:30 and 9:00am. Classes will be held in the morning and afternoon hours. See the full schedule on our classes page.
